Default Finally got some track results

11.8 @121 was the best I could muster at 13psi

Best 60' of the night was a 1.95 LOL, times only got worse as the night went on. Weather got worse, not that it matters since there is ZERO track prep for these events. One of these day's I'll get a roll bar and be able to run on a prepped track.

Can't really compare it to my best time of 11.3 @123.5 on 13psi since the weather was completely different. DA on the 11.3 pass was 4600 I believe, DA tonight was 6900 according to the tower. I don't think the track temps got below 100 the entire night. During this time of year they will shut down the track if surface gets over 140 degrees.

I'd say the car gained with the tighter converter, manifolds, and 2.75 gear. I could leave off the foot brake under at least 5psi if I ever put real tires on it and ran on a prepped track. I left off 1-2 psi on the first pass and hooked, but all the track prep from the days previous TNT had worn off by my next pass and from then on it would not hold even 0 psi Had some awesome 2.0-2.2 60's. Car still trapped 120 though so no biggie. My friend with ET streets couldn't even get better than a 2.0 due to spin.

There was only one car faster than me, a really nicely done auto converted z06 that cartech built. 382 motor, fats n skinnies, 100 shot, roll bar, 242/242 cam, the works. Pretty much a race car. Their best N20 pass was 11.19 @ 123, 11.8@114 n/a, gotta love las vegas weather. After talking to them they said they usually run in Reno and they slowed down .5 sec from their normal Reno times. Reno's track is 1000' HIGHER than here, but much nicer weather. They said the same setup at sea level goes 10.30.

I'm going to have to wait until fall to get my 10 sec pass most likely. The only good thing about the weather here is it makes everyone else just as slow. Raced a '92 Zx7 on the free way from a 70 roll on the way home and freight trained him about 10 cars to 125. Stopped and talked to him at an exit to makes sure he was actually WOT, I even gave him the jump the 2nd time we ran. I did hit the high boost button for racing him so I was on 15psi.

Forgot to mention that I did no modifiacations for the track except adding 2 gallons of 111 to 1/2 a tank of 91 for safety. car is in it's 91 octane daily driver setup. I didn't even check the tire pressure (like it would really matter).

Its got to be hot as hell out there........I was in vegas 4yrs this time of year and it was 120 in the day.

I cant wait for you to get some cool weather there.....need to come down to sea level like me. I trapped 119 on 7.5lbs (2.73 gear still).

good times. Tighter converter is gonna hold ya back a bit until you figure everything out. I love the gear...you are gonna be like a lot of turbo folks when folks ask you top speed of the car....."at least 110mph....in 2nd!!"

I don't think the converter is going to hold me back for my goals, I can make 5psi on the foot brake pretty quick and even more off the trans brake. I just can't hook it until I get everything dialed in.

I love this converter for the street. I can cruise in 3rd under 2000 rpms (light throttle).

as long as I can get the car in the 1.6 60's I'll be pretty happy since it's really a street car (I drive it a lot).

OH, top speed in 2nd HEHE, 120 @ 6500, 130 @7000 (my limiter).
With 28" tires, 143 @ 7000

I shift at 6300-6500 normally.

I forgot what you're running for shocks?

Take your pick of MT ET Drag Radials and you should be able to 1.6x in your sleep.

With decent track prep I've had 1.4xs off the foot brake on both the 325/50/15 and 275/50/15 tires so far. I might have to try a three tire shootout with the 275/60/15s hahahaha.

1.6 in my sleep, I don't think so, at least not on an unprepped track. You guys might not understand what I mean by unprepped track.

Midnight Mayhem Events are held after Test N Tune which has a prepped track. The only prep for MM is what is left over from TNT. MM is also dominated by FWD cars on street tires that feel the need to do massive smokey burnouts and drag water all the way to the line.

As for shocks, 77,000 mile Decarbons of course.
