Default Lifter Oil Ports?
Does it matter which way they point towards? Have the Comp OEM Hydra. Replacement Lifters by the way.

No, but being totally **** myself I pointed them all to the oil gallery (towards the outside of the block.

they come pointed in seemingly random directions from the factory.

I was wondering this myself recently. I pointed them all towards the oil galley also.
