FAST 90/90 Peeps, Trouble With the TPS/Throttle Cable?
I just put a Fast 90 Intake and TB on the TA, which had an LS1 intake. Pretty simple, but the sucker has not run right ever since. How long does it take for the car to recognize the 90? The SES light came on and the code was the TPS, so we replaced it. Seems a little better; the major problem is when the RPMs stay anywhere from 2000-3000 while off the gas and at "idle". Anyone have problems with the throttle cable that is hooked to the TB not slacking or decelerating fast enough? This cable seems too tight, and is heating my tranny up quick as the RPMs stay high. How could I modify this cable to make it work? Thanks for any help!!

I doubt the cable is your problem. Did you remove the stock LS1 coolant tubes when you put it on? Sounds like you have a leak, not a cable problem
If you left the stock tubes, the manifold is not going to seat correctly. You may have also left off the brake booster or the a/c controll vacuum port disconnected. The MAP sensor might have came out as well, as could have the PCV/EVAP systems. Id check everything out.

Check the tb blade to make sure there's no gap at idle. I just had the same problem with a tb. Got a different one and problem solved. I doubt it's the cable.

Yes, we flattened the coolant lines underneath, but I think we are going to take it apart and start over, rerouting the coolant lines. It looked like we had enough clearance. Then maybe the cable will wind down/lower RPMs properly?

The FAST sits REALLY close to the valley cover, hence why it needs the low profile allen head screws. My guess is it's hitting that tube, even if it's flattened. I hope you didn't crack the intake.
You can snip off the rear blocks where the coolant pipe bolts on, weld them shut, then put them back on. Then you can snip the part that runs under the manifold from the front and weld it shut too. If you don't have a welder, your best bet is to buy the 01+ tube and plugs from a stealership.
I'll post pics tonight of my cutting/welding job I did this weekend.
