hopefully the Y and cats are out by now...
Go at it from underneath...
1) make sure vehicle is securely supported on carjacks or other
2) remove heat shields getting in the way, you'd be suprised how much room those clear up
3) lie perpendicular to direction of car, head underneath pass side seat area, feet sticking out drivers side seat area
4) reach up with left hand with ratchet and socket in hand
I found this the best angle to go at it from, its easier to get at the #8 plug this way too.
I did not have to remove my coil packs.
worked for me anyway.

Take pass. side cat off of manifold and get it from the bottom - might help to remove the starter. My friend got under the car and said im going to need to take the starter off. I just got under there and took it off without looking to see if it was even in the way of anything so you may be able to leave the starter on there.
