Don't even start this thread again please!! It's really old and we all know the truth. I just read some of the one on SVTP and its 15 pages long. Pretty soon a mach 1 guy will come in and say he beats LS1's all day long, and the fight will be on. So can we just have videos of stock cars going at it.

I beat LS1s on day long. Sorry couldn't resist.
I've only ran 2 LS1s. 1 turbo'd, not pretty. The other an SS with exhaust maybe more and me with intake, catted X and catback. It was close win for the LS1. Both of us drove badly. So yes drivers race.

Mach vs LS1 is close with edge going to the LS1, each model level has a little better chance, driver's mean alot in this race! The experience I had was right after I got my car (first manual car, only driven stick a few times) and my friend had a '04 stock mach 1. We ran 7 or 8 times in a row and from slightly higher or lower rolls each time. I didn't know how to drive the car (shifting to soon,not slamming gears,not knowing my powerband) and my friend is the best driver I've ever seen. Each time I would pull a 1/2 car,car,or car & 1/2, thats stock for stock, new driver vs bad-*** driver. Thats just my experience, some drivers suck,(like me for a little bit) and some cars are freaks, but the fact remains.

I have a video of my friends 00 Z28 racing a Mach 1 with a bassani exhaust and intake. The Mach 1 got the go ahead and beat us by 2 cars up to 100. I don't have it uploaded, but I'll see if the 56K will let me do it.

What I meant was all the cars (under)rated at 305/310 -Formula,TA,Z28 and then the cars (under)rated at 320/325 -SS,WS6 and firehawks at 345 (before its said I know different year hawks had different hp numbers). Also before someone says its the same engine, your right it is the same engine, the only difference is the factory tune given to the cars.

Isn't it hard to say because the 01-02 ls1 are a little faster and because there are M6 and A4 (M6 faster on the freeway) To me it just seems like all LS1 F-Bodys tend to be diffrent in performance. For example I have a Stripper Z28 which ran a 12.9 @110 W/ 2.21 60ft. I think the 01-02 M6 F-Bodys would edge out a mach 1 no problem on the highway.
