Default Mild turbo setups, fuel system ?'s.

My stock fuel pump is on its way out right now and I need to figure out what I want to do for a replacement. It looks like the walbro in tank setups have had quite a few failures. And im not so sure if it will be stable at the power im looking to make. (550-600 at first) What are you guys doing for the fuel system at these power levels? Most importantly the pump. Thanks.

I have the racetronix kit, otherwise stock fuel system.

Later on I plan to go with a nasty setup when I figure out exactly what I want.

I'm almost running the racetronix, and had it up to 10# boost. I plan to upgrade eventually.

I am running the Incon supplied fuel pump, which I believe is a 255 LPH model with Racetronix 42# injectors @ 7lbs boost.

If you are looking for 550-600rwhp with the single intank pump you are going to on the very edge as to what that pump can supply. You will need to upgrade a few other parts of the fuel system to get that much power out of it. And run 2 pumps to have some extra room to grow. Or a complete fuel system with a big external pump to keep up with fuel demands. Give me a call with your goals and complete setup and we can help you get the system you need.

Id call Nate and get the Magnafuel pump. Its better to have too much and not need it. Leaves room to grow and you dont have to buy things twice if you want more power.

But that thing flows A LOT of fuel.... you'll hear it gushing through your regulator at idle.... and we all know about fuel heating, particularly on long hi-way trips.

For a mild setup I would use dual Walbro intanks with new lines. That has worked for us up to 700rwhp on a supercharged car.

For more we have used the Nasty tank with 2 Weldon A600's.We use 1 for reg. driving and the 2nd is boost referenced. The fuel stays cool and it has supplied enough fuel for 950rwhp so far without any issues.

im only using the racetronix PnP which has a walbro 255lph in place of the stock pump...and 42lb injectors for alittle room to grow in the near future...and also im changing the fuel filter every other oil change just to be real safe(had a bad experience with an old fuel filter, which killed my stock pump lol) anyways yea im only at 4.5-5psi and 380rwhp for now but who cares.. lol hope this helps & GOOD LUCK with ur setup

Well, I ordered the ractronix kit so I can at least run the car for a while. I guess I will see how it goes with this once I am boosted. If I need to change it I need to change it. No tuning needs to be done to compensate for a larger pump does it? And, how does the racetronix kit regulate pressure? I thought I read that they remove the check valve that the factory units use to regulate fuel for 99+ cars. Mine is a 99.
