No, it is the LS1....you should trade me for my old "ls6"....

The "new cam" is the same grind that comes in the 6.0l truck motors, I believe GM did this in an effort to pick up some more low end power. They are a bit smaller and have a less valve overlap, which is the reason why there is no EGR system on the 2001+

Asking questions and expanding your knowledge is the #1 way to spend less money and go faster, sounds like you're on the right track.

Check JRP's stickies in this section, as well as the n3wb section, it should shed alot of light. One of them has all the slight changes documented from year to year.

ooooooo and its sunset orange metallic!!, yea, almost every year some things were changed, heads from 853's to 241's, (better flowing and add's about 10 HP) you got the 241's , you got the ls6 intake compared to the ls1, (add about 10-15 HP), the camshaft changed, its a bit smaller, no worries though, and you got a ZO6 clutch, other small things were changed (98-00 have EGR and 01-02's have, . . . . . . ooo drew a blank, its late for me, . . AIR?) i'll think some more in the morning . . . . . . yea, it would suck if you bought a ls6 intake and a zo6 clutch in a mad panic to mod, . . lol

We work too hard, so we had to split it up.

I'm so tired right now, I'm actually only using one eyeball, the other has already gone to sleep.
