Default Quick Question

If I cut out the stock muffler on my 98 Z28 Camaro and replaced it with say.....

A Flowmaster or SLP.

Would it give it a nice sound.

Or would it be better to just buy an entire exhaust kit.

I put a MagnaFlow on mine when I had stock exhaust and got a good sound increase. If your not planning on headers/exhaust upgrade any time soon then I say go for it. If you saving for headers/exhaust then save the money.

I would just say buy a whole catback, to just put a muffler in would be a PITA b/c its all welded together in one piece, and with the smaller piping it would NOT give you maximum flow

just buy a cut out cheaper and I can bet a six pack that you would the sound of it open, and when you don't want it to be loud(trips, daily commutes to work) it's not.
