fort worth tranny shop for 700R4
having tranny problems with the 3rd gen (wont go into reverse, shifts high in drive). I looked at the TV cable and linkage, and they appear to be ok... time to have a pro look at it.
called TDP, but they dont do autos... they referred me to someone in north dallas, but thats kinda far since i'm in SW fort worth and the car will need to be towed.
i did a search, and didn't really come up with anything useable... recommendations would be great since i dont have much luck calling random places in phone books! it's a stock car, and will stay that way for the foreseeable future, so i dont need a HD rebuild or anything.

talked to ACE... they are leaning toward an internal part (sun shell, which was also suggested by another user on ls1tech), which would pretty much mean a rebuild (and more $$$ than i have at the moment)... they offered to do a basic diag on it for free, so i'm hoping it's something else more simple than that... but with my recent luck, that will not be the case

I have a few 700r4's that would need some sort of attention before I would trust them in my Fbodies. I remember looking in the back of a few autotrader mags up there in Ft. Worth and seeing a guy who had BUILT 700r4's for $350 or $400. Had a 2year warranty, if I remember correctly.
