tall drivers in Trans-Ams
i am looking at getting a newer f-body. now i love the looks of the camaros, but i like trans-ams and WS6's a lot better. but my problem is that the dash hangs lower in ther trans-am from 93-97 than the camaros, and i have leg room problems. does anyone know of a way to bolt on the dash panel from the foot tunnel from the camaro. or is there more room in the newer trans-ams?

i'm 6'6", but i have longer legs then my friend whos 6'11". i tried putting the seat all the way back and leaning it back, but there still wasn't enough room. also when i leaned the seat back far enough, i can barely reach the steering wheel.

anyway.. for the tall guy, seems like you could remove the rear seats and relocate the front brackets possible?

Im 6'5 with long legs. It doesnt really bother me at all and i am usually using the clutch alot while commuting to work and such . I would love to relocate the mounting brackets about 2-3 inches backwards. I dont believe i would have to remove the rear seats. Hmm... i guess i can try this out and post my results.

6'4 here and long legged. No problems and I'd contend the car was made for ME and not the 6 footer in the above post ;-)
You should locate a later T/A on a car lot and try one on for size. Wear tennis shoes and not big ol' work boots.
P.S Your 6'11" friend is not gonna be happy in the passenger seat with his left knee in his chest lol but by all means post a pic!

6'3 here... I just lean the seat back a bit, lower it to the floor and put a little tilt in it, Otherwise it depends if Im just cruising (relaxed) or driving hard (then I adjust the seat to a more upright postion obviously) But either way, Im comfortable!

5'9'' here and I sit on 3 phone books...
Nah but my dad is 6'5'' and when he sits in my car, an 01 camaro, he says he feels too cramped, so I dont know if it will be that much better for you.
