Anybody know the base circle on this cam?
It's a Comp XR228/230 571/573 112 LSA comp pt# 54-428-11 I am wanting to find this out so I can order the correct pushrods at the same time I order the cam and springs. Also what is the base circle on the stock 2000 cam?

okay the stock cam radius is .775" and diameter is 1.550 ..
comp 228/230 radius is .732" and diameter is 1.463
I am using a 7.4 pushrod with a .045 cometic head gasket and heads milled .018..If using stock heads and stock head gaskets then use 7.425" pushrods

2000 base circle (radius) is 19.7 mm (double if if you're gonna measure it with calipers) 01 ls6 is 19.3mm and 02+ is 19.0mm. The valves on 02+ are .6mm longer to compensate for smaller base circle (that's .02366" so 7.425" pushrods are right if it's similar to ls6 base circle....)

I am about to get a Comp XE cam also. I have 7.4" pushrods on my stock heads and cam. I am going to have the heads milled to a 62cc chamber and use a .040" headgasket. Best I can figure I will still be good with the 7.4" pushrods. Anyone agree or disagree?

My XE cam lobes measured in at 1.450 with a dial caliper.
