Default Need some piston help

I just bought a 2002 Pontiac Trans Am that has 14000 miles on the odometer. I heard that you could use a "stock" bore pistion like the Lunati or Speed-Pro with a low mileage or new engine block. Does this fall in that catagory? I know the cylinder walls need the graze honed off to ensure the piston rings seat properly.

My car was honed at 84000 miles and got ls6 pistons. Running great like it was brand new.

I did something like that on a different engine that came out of a junk yard. I checked the bore for taper and out-of-round and found the it to be very good. So I just honed the cylinder walls to break the glaze off and installed new rings with the original pistons. I don't know if that motor was overhauled before the guy junked it or the newer engine parts have reduced the amount of wear.
