Oem rocker arms SUX
I just ranting a little and need some advise. To make a long story short I installed a g5X2 cam two weeks ago. Four frackin days later 4 intake oem rocker arms spit out the bearings.
With the help of slowpoke96z28 I installed some ssr rocker arms. One week later, #7 cylinder exhaust rocker arm tip breaks off, It had just enough material left on it to go ahead and get jamed on the retainer to have the locks pop off.
I can thank my luck stars because the noise only happen when I pulled into my brother apt complex. I thought for sure that the valve was bent or a hole in the piston. Installed an extra arm crossed my fingers a started it up
Well Iam going to purchase somadjustable rocker arms from john02ss and need some advise on adjustment. Is the set up the same to that of a old chevy motor. I justed wanted to know any tricks due to the fact of oem coil pack placement, while the motor is running.
Any input would be great?

Whats up bro? When I get the camara software Iwill send you a pic. Btw it was a orginal one. I just replaced all the intake ones with the ssr ones thinking that may if the ssr ones failed that I would have some back ups.
I thinking of email you for a price on those ssr 5.3 if it turn out to be bent valve. Keep you eyes (click) for a 6.0L block. SSDD a another day out of the corps.

I did my home work on this cam G5X2 112 model. I personally know that this type of cam has work in four other peoples car. The oem rocker arm failure was like the TSB on the early Gm trucks. I really have no clue why the arm boke on the exhaust side. Timming chain mark are straight up with no advacement or retard added oem heads/ gaskets and oem lifters.

You should run the numbers on the springs by getting the installed height. Are they shimmed?
If you have something causing this problem than you could run into it again with your new rockers. Just be sure to trouble shoot your valve train and make sure the rocker is not the sympton of another problem.

The Crane 832's are designed to give the valve train setup a lot of flexibility by using shims to set them up correctly. If you just plugged them in, without any measurements or calculations, that's probably your problem.
