Default How long will my stock ls6 clutch last with a 150 wet shot?

Yeah I have a cam/boltons and was wondering how long my stock ls6 clutch will last with a 150 wet shot. I have stock tires which yield me no traction and I also do not do any hard launches from a stop. Do you think as soon as I hit the 150 shot my clutch will start slippin or will it take a little while? The clutch seems fine now with less than 20k miles on it without spray? I am thinking the spray will cause it to slip bad?

You could be lucky, but my money is on the nitrous in this fight...the clutch is definitely gonna lose IMO.

i was running the same setup as you (cam/boltons 150) on my stock clutch. I ran too many bottles through it to keep count and it never slipped once. I had 40k on it when i replaced it (only because i was putting in a new engine)

I don't have nitrous yet. However after I put on DR's my stock clutch slips on hard launches pretty bad. I only have 12K on the clock. I have to launch the car at 1500 in order for it not to slip. There is no way it will handle a 150hp shot. I'm waiting till I get a good clutch before the N2O goes in. Just my .02.

Let me put it this way...if you have the money to replace the clutch right now, spray the **** out of it and it might surprise you. Otherwise, you might find yourself up a **** creek without a paddle...

I think you should be fine...until you go WOT
If you have the $$$ and AAA, then go ahead and roll the dice otherwise I would take it a little easy.

Clutch will be ok on street tires.

Once you spray on a et, dr its over. Thats how it went with me with a 100wet on a zo6.
