Found oil in charge line of STS Turbo
Took the charge tube (from the turbo to the intake) off today during installation of a stall converter.
It had a shocking amount of oil in it. What gives?
I thought I saw a thread about this before, but apparently the search engine is not functioning tonight.
Thanks.

That has happened to a few people, including me. I did a few things. First make sure the center section of your turbo is positioing the oil inlet, and return lines at 12 and 6 o'clock, respectively. Second is make sure the check valve is still working. If it is not, oil will continue to flow into the turbo while the car is not running. That will get past the seals, and into the intake tubing. Hope that helps.

I also suspect the check valve (or the lack of one).
Where is it located? I looked through my installation manual, and there is not one pictured. I would expect it to be near the turbo, correct? A pic would be especially helpful.
I have one of the first kits, so it is possible that I need to put one in to prevent this.
