I mean, you guys have some nice pictures of your cars and all, but does anyone ever actually race at the track?

Seems to me that whoever produces the best dyno number or takes the nicest photo of their car is king on this site.

i race, its stock but **** i dont care, i'm trying to get the best R/T's and 60's i can on it right now before i put the cam and spray. so yeah i race....not fast but at least im out there. and my sig pic dosnt qualify me as king or anything or dose it

I like to play around on the street from time to time. Not much on the Dyno Queen sport. Leave that **** to the Elite. And I take pictures as a business, so its an every day thing.

Post of the year!

Its mostly about dyno numbers. There are lots of powerful LSx cars, but there aren't many LSx cars that run very well. They are tuned to make a big number and into the garage they go.

I used to be concerned with getting the last 2-3hp at 2k rpm, but its such a waste of time. All the "best CAI" and "best header" etc are bench racing at its finest. I have about 35 passes on my C5 in the past 2.5 months. I absolutely will not street race, though.

Bring this point up and guys blast you for it. Its 10x worse on the Corvette Forums.

LMAO because some days I feel like posting that on the local board. Some of them would get offended though

They sense how I feel because of indirect comments etc. But if I actually posted that I'd get a bunch of howls "it's my car, I'll enjoy it how I want to!" or "drag racing is boring, twisties are where it's at!" (but the poster hasn't autocrossed or road raced in years).

I like any kind of racing, but I don't have time to do it all, so drag racing is the one I picked.

I feel that LS1tech actually has a pretty decent number of racers.
