Default trans am vs ws6

whats the difference between the trans am and the ws6 like perfomace wise cause the ws6 has like 15-25 hp more than the trans am same thing with the z28 and ss whats the difference? just outa curiousity cause i have a 1999 trans am and i wanted to kno

Its really the same thing, its more of a show package, the "extra" 15 HP is from the ram air, but that really doesnt help until you hit speeds of over 100 MPH so basically they dyno the same. Also the SS and WS6 have better suspension, widder tires and 17 in rims

Plus the WS6 and SS have the addition of a power steering cooler.

Performance wise... I heard the regular Trans Am outperforms the WS6 because the rims are lighter and because they are 16" versus the 17" WS6 wheels. But honestly I consider them the same performance, just IMO the WS6 looks better.

Depends on what kind of track you are talking about. I Solo 2 my car, does way better than other stock f-ers. HA

in solo its all about the driver, same w/ drag and road race. you can put a good driver in a miata and a avg driver in a t/a and the miata would win. its about driving and seat time, if you know how to race a car, there will be vertually no difference in the handling of fbodys as a hole stock.

Hey Miata, thats no fair, they are way to light.

Anyways. Yes the driver makes the difference, but if you have a better suspension it will make a difference, that is the point I was making.
