Default Texarkana Guys

I am needing the end of my forged crank tapped. I wanted to see what machine shop is decent in the area.

Either Adger or Kenneth. That's about your only two choices for machine work. I'm not sure what Kenneth still does, but Adger is always backed up beyond belief.

give chuck a call at BEST ENGINES 903 832 1833

i didnt even know we had some other fellow ls1 tech guys in texarkana

I was just about to say Best Engines. Heard some good stuff about them. May try Superior too.

I've heard about Best Engines too. Don't know anything about them. Where are they located?

Edit: Nevermind. Looked them up. They're in Wake Village. I'll have to check them out.

Chuck built my forged 347 only had a minor bearing problem but im glad i didnt use LME since scott lost his whole motor cause of there **** ups

I am going to call a few of these places tomorrow morning to see if they can help me. I am affraid they want the motor out of the truck which is not really an option for me because i live in a apartment complex.

yeah best engine only works on engines out of the vehicle they wont pull them..

you have a forged crank in your SS what all have you done to it

its a 408, eagle crank, rods, diamond pistons, afr heads. some guy is going to call me tonite that works part time at one of the shops to tell me if its possiable to do in the truck.

its not just any truck lol, once its done it should be mid 12s n/a and 11s on the juice

I broke a arp crank bolt off at the threads trying to take it out. I am kinda up the creek right now. i dont have a place to pull the motor out or i would just swap the short block.
