fuel system setup to support 550rwhp
i was considering buying the aeromotive fuel system setup that can support 1000hp but i dont want to spend 1400 if i can get something to work as good for cheaper......the setup is for a heads/cam car only

For heads/cam only, the stock pump will hold (close to?) 550rwhp if you run 60# injectors. The oversize on the injectors helps band aid the fuel pressure drop. This has worked for me to about 510rwhp turboed. Then again, too much is never enough, so just do a full aftermarket return system.

I've got the vortec inline-booster pump and worked like a charm at that power level, with 42lbr's.
Gametech has a great point. 42lbr's can support (not certain what you are planing to run, obviously) what you want, however, if you ever wanted to go with some sort of boost, juice, etc... the 42's Will choke the system. Get the bigger injector if this is in your not so distant future!
