Default Running the engine with no AC??

Well I drove around all day and cannot find any of the idler pulleys for the A/C. I already have the pulley and belt off and don't really want to put it back on and listen to it sqeal, plus it would come off tomarrow anyway. So would it hurt to drive it with no A/C belt and idler pulley if I'm not going to run the AC?

shouldn't hurt the car one bit. Actually you should see some HP gain not having the extra accessory belt.

i'm doign the exact same thing. AC tensioner pulleys are not sold alone, you have to buy the entire assembly. I think that costs around $60-70 at the dealership or at an autoparts store. Winter's coming and I dont really see the need for an AC pulley till spring so I'm just driving my car without the AC belt. I"d rather have no AC than listen to that insanely annoying and embarassing squeal.
