Default Cam + stall question

Looking at comp cams 224/230 581/588 on a 114. My question is will this be a good cam for a car with around a 3200 to 3500 stall, with most bolt ons as well. Its not a daily driver, more of a weekend warrior and i want something that will be capable of mid 7's in the eigth mile. Anybody with like setups please list hp and track times if possible, thanks.

Should be a decent match, but in the case of a TC, bigger is generally better. I'd be looking at 3800-4000 stalls.

I was thinking 3200 cause the tranny already has 88,000 miles on it and i figured there was no way it could handle a 3600 plus stall. Trying to hold out on getting the tranny built until after this christmas.

A higher stall is not going to put any additional strain on the trans as long as you keep the temp in check.
