Default Any one put in a tach?

I have a nice Autometer Tach and I bought an MSD DIS tach adapter but I still cant get this thing to work. Before I bought the tach adapter it seemed to only have read 1 cylinder but once I put the tach adapter on it only reads zero. Is there some sort of magic word Im supposed to say?

Don't know what the tach adapter is/for, but you need to set the tach to 4 cyl. mode to read the ls1 tach signal. The directions should say which wires on the tach to clip to get 4 cyl. mode-

You just need to hook it up to the tach wire somewhere( i hook them by the pcm) and then clip the wires that the autometer directions tell you to for your input pulse. I've never had a problem with them working right on a ls1 car.

Just splice into the tach wire coming from the computer and you'll need to cut both the blue and brown wires on the tach (this was the color on mine and it might be different on the new ones). BTW sell the tach adapter you don't need it
