Default Flywheel Question

Im doing an A4 to M6 swap on my 95 Z. I got the entire drivetrain out of a 95 Trans Am. My question is; do I need to rebalance the flywheel before putting it on my motor? Arent they already externally balanced? My motor in my car is the origional motor and has never been touched.

Thank in advance,
Bryan

i have heard that you should have the flywheel and clutch assembly balenced as a whole. I wish i would have done it for the peice of mind. I forget if the Lt1's are blanced to one side or if they are neutral balenced. Something i would ask the shop doing the work might know. Mine is unbalenced right now but like i said its a good peice of mind for the money.

LT1's are externally balanced.

Proper torque on the flywheel and clutch bolts would be all you need to worry about in my opinion. Since you are putting a stock flywheel and stock clutch on a stock motor, should be just fine if you ask me. But like it was said, wouldn't hurt anything to have the two balanced.

Cool, thanks for the help guys. I think I will have it balanced just for the piece of mind. Better now than later when I put the tranny in.

Thanks again
Bryan
