thats the ad in autotrader. Is that a bit over priced? i'm not really looking for a car to do a whole lot of mods on just the usual bolt-on's. But i really think 8,500 is a little over the top.
NEED OPPINIONS what would you guys offer the guy? at most i say 6000

The most I'd pay is $6500. It's in nice condition, low miles, 6spd (Which I heard in that year a junk so swap it) and um... it has rims heh Which, aren't they 16"?
Anyways, maybe that ad is like 7yrs old? lol

I haven't had a problem working on my 93 o_0 And only some mods are different from my experience (I've only been researching, since I just got it). I'd laugh at someone if they came up to me and offered $4K
Ya know Black, it's not that hard to convert to a 94+. ECM, wiring, intake, and tranny.
(off topic LOL! nice rims Black)

thanks guys i appreciate the input, I'm just looking for a decently fast DD. I'm only 17 so i don't plan on making it any faster than 13 seconds.. i got my first ticket 2 weeks after my lisence..54 in 25 and i still have a heavy right foot.
I'd get an ls1 BUT insurance is a bitch and a nice ls1 for 6500 is damn near impossible so LT1 it is!

Double the speed limit is more than a ticket if I'm recalling correctly. Double is Attempted Manslaughter and Triple is Attemped Suicide . . .
You'll be more than happy with that car, but get that price down!

What kind of K&N is that...might be home made with just the filter
I dont know of anything on a 93 being harder to work on..but alot of 93 parts are different than 94+: computer, fuel system,driveline,TB,intake,etc....and there are 2 M6 trannys for 93,s M28(2.73,s regr) & M29(3.23,s regr)..M29 is more desireable b/c of the gear ratios..you can check the code to see what tranny/rear gr it has....just giving you a heads up incase ya didnt know.
looks nice, go for it...I say $6,000 to...thats what I paid for mine with 60k mi

93 is not a great year, no first year generation cars are perfect, all have gremlins, in terms of what the car is worth, i'd say it's a very nice example, offer 5,800 tops. But i do agree with the people on this post, 94+ is far superior, and 96-97 are mint.

I would disagree.
When you say "far" it makes it sound like the 93's were a rolling heap.
I own a 93' Z and I wouldnt change that for anything, and whats so bad about 93s? Nothing.
I can say this for myself and most guys out there, if you plan on going fast 10s, 9s, 8,s your going to be changing so much in the car anyway, so having a 95 compared to a 93 or vise versa, its not going to matter much because it wont be close to how you got the car.
Tony.

and alot more parts are swapable than you think... and the tranny's in the 93 arent as weak as some seem to think... i have seen people with around 700hp running an M29... i would say for that car no more than 5500.... its nice and clean... would be a great car to have and play with... so explain to me as to where the 93's arent as good as the rest.... just because there are diffences in the drivetrain/computer/fuel system... doesnt mean anything.. its still the same LT1 just like in all the rest of the cars and doesnt make it any harder to work on...
