Attn Rob, Relay Wiring
rob- your inbox is full so i'll write it here.
i'll grab a relay and write it down for you.
85 and 86 is the signal side. it has a little coil that magnetizes the switch, and turns it on and off. it's also called the control side.
put ground to one, and the wire FROM your headlight switch to the other. when you flick your headlight switch, it should click now.
the other side, 30 and 87, is the switched side. the circuit is open until the control side is energized. Make 30 a constant +12V, and wire 87 TO your headlight.
once you stare at the little diagram on the relay for a while, and see it work a few times, it becomes easy..
if your relay has an 87a terminal, don't use it. 87a is a constant ON, so the lights will stay on until you turn on your light switch.. wont work right.
good luck
