Ignition button/switch
I want to put in a ignition button inside the car.
I want it to be wired straight to the starter if possible.. (bypassing relays too) what would I need to do this?????????

its a downgrade, there is a switch in the steering column obviously, just find out where it is and wire it to a "button" that grounds out.

OK let me get this out there the reason why Im doing this...
My car dose not always start. Every once in while my car will go into a fit where I go to turn the key and nothing happens Completly dead..
Fuel pump comes on gauges fire up but for some reason it dont send power to the starter. Ive replaced the Starter and Ignition control relay.. I have even disabled vaps from the computer. Im done with looking for why my car is going into these fits of not cranking over. Im not doing this to be "Cool"
I just want to know how to wire up a simple 2 wire starter button bypassing the wiring harness... And Ive done a search there is no "right up" on doing this.

its really a matter of finding a wiring diagram and finding what wires they are..
on older cars you could just hook a button onto some wires under the hood and start it up while you are working under the hood.

what you want is called a remote start button. the newer vettes have them or you can look thru a perf catalog. they should come with directions.you will probally have to cut a hole in the lower part of your dash, or make a bracket for it.

Its done, went out to autozone and picked up a push button starter with 2 leads one to the battery and one to the starter silonoid, was a easy install and only 2 wires were used, did not even have to splice into anything...
And I doubt it will happen with the button due to the button being wired straight to the battery and strait to the silonoid... if somthing did happen then the problum is going to be a starter (wich was just replaced) So in a way I am tracking down the problum but without the worry of the damn thing not starting everyday when I go to work. But so far so good..
thanks for all the help guys
