Default Budget 6.0L/370 short block?

I've looked all over and I can't seem to find one.

Does anyone build an iron 6.0L or a 370 short block with forged pistons, stock crank and stock or "budget" rods? I don't see why it would be more than a "budget 347" either. In fact one should be considerable cheaper since 6.0L iron blocks are more abundant and cheaper.

All the ones I've seen advertised are only within $400 of a 408 short block, because they use all aftermarket parts. I don't particularly want and/or need a 408, but if a 370 is within $400-500 of one I'd be foolish not to go with the extra cubes.

PM sent, dont know if talking about non-sponsor shops is allowed here, and not sure it is a sponsor shop.

Yeah I saw the TSP engines, and they're more than a forged 347, which usually has a more exspensive core. It doesn't make sense to me. You're paying for a weight penalty that will probably not be overcome by the extra cubes. Also if you want low compression Diamond pistons, you have to add $325 to the Malhe's that already come with the engine. Now you're up there in price next the 408 short block.

See what I mean?

yeah, I guess its a way to make money. But why not call them? I think it says on the website that they can make "custom applcations". Im not saying its going to be cheeper but it might be worth a shot.
