Default Opti on the bench, should I mess with it?

I just pulled my opti as part of a EWP install and to seal up the front of the motor.

95z, A4, car has 135k - just bought it with dreams of building a track monster out of it someday. Car pulled hard throughout the RPM range when I pulled the opti.

Should I put it back on as is, throw a cap and rotor on, or just open it up clean it up inside?
