gotta replace fuel pump
So my fuel pump is slowly crapping out. I'm getting a new one, how does this installation go? can it be done through the trunk or does the fuel tank have to be dropped?

Well, there's the right way and then there's the easy way.....
The right way involves dropping the rear end, dropping the exhaust, then dropping the tank to gain access to the pump assembly
The easy way involves removing the carpet from the hatch area and cutting an access hole in the sheetmetal to gain access to the pump assembly, then sealing the area with a new piece of sheetmetal, self tapping screws and silicone
I let the dealer do it the right way on multiple occasions while under warranty, but when it came time to do it myself, I cut that bish wide open

I just changed mine out and it was not that bad! There is a sticky at the top of this section that has pretty good instuctions on how to install using the "access door" method...and replacing with a Walbro.
