Default 243's, F-13/Cometic .040 will it clear?

Hey guys...I'm trying to map out a cam package for a friend. He's going with an F-13 and a set of 243's.

I was thinking since it's a mid size cam that we could install a set of .040 Cometics to help with the quench, yet I'm unsure if the setup will/should clear?

All insight is greatly appreciated.....

I'm actually going with the same setup F13, 243's and .040 and I was told it fits as long as you didn't get the deck worked.

Thanks...obviously we'll check but it would be a pain in the *** to return $150 used headgaskets....

With stock valves, I believe it should just squeak by. People have milled .015 - .020 without issues on the f-13. Your smaller gasket is taking about the same off.
