Look for an LS1 man, and DON'T look back... Yeah you might pay a few K more but it's a newer car too. And whatever you buy don't worry about what the previous owner did, unless it's obvious to you and you don't like it, in that case you wouldn't buy it anyways. Good Luck on your search.

we're not saying DONT get an LT1. But that wasn't a good deal. For 1k-1.5k more you could have an LS1 with the same or less miles. My brother got a 1995 Firebird Formula with 85,000 miles, 10 disc changer, better interior condition than mine, NO RIPS or anything, MINT black leather for 4500$

I got my LS1 for $8000
I just got my car last week for $8000. 2000 Z28 with 116k. Car is in excellent shape! I agree with the rest of the guys, wait for the LS1. The power is awesome and well worth the difference you might have to pay!!!!!

I just bought my 98 Formula, 122k A4 for $5500 dollars, you can definatly get an LS1 Car for pretty cheap. i saw another (TA) for sale around zip code 45402 for $5500 and a 80K TA for $7400 too. There are plenty of deals out there but you gotta fine them. Good luck!

Ls1's seem to be a better value no matter what you say about them, but if you look it up, you will find many high mileage ls1s on the road today. This is because the engine will last much longer than the average vehicle. You might even be able to find one cheaper as well. I agree go ls1 don't look back.
