Default Will this work?

OK i have a 2.5 in mangaflow catback system that i took off right up to the mangaflow muffler. i am getting 3in collectors on my headers, and pacesetter 3in off road y-pipe. i am going to run 3in piping all the way to the mangaflow muffler then i was thinking about taking a piece fo 2.5 in pipe and welding it to the 3 in piping so that i could slid the 2.5 in piping into the exisiting mangalfow muffler where a 2.5 in pipe is needed to fit into that performacne muffler! hopefully this can work!

oh if it creates to much backpressure i can just do 2.5 inch piping but i have never seen 2.5 in collectors at the end of headers any info on this? would this be a bad idea to do? b/c i like my mangalfow but if i have to replace that **** too that thing was 450 bucks and 3in y is 125 and headers are lt's which i know a guy who i can get them for 275!

Just picture this diagram of flow ===========--------------------
hehe although it may work, this is just the first thing that came to my mind, I am no pro by any means, I just know exhaust is tricky..
You will definantly need to have the consversion from the 3in to the 2.5 smooth out so you will need cone-like adaptors to make sure the flow is smooth, assuming theres no problems with ur setup there

Default but that is how it was normally?

when i got the car teh catback was already on! there is one pipe from the driver's side manifold, and one from the passanger side manifold ok then they connect right after the cat and go into one single tube then that tube went into my mangaflow muffler then out my tail pipes, i was thinking well if it went into one pipe already why not leave it like that and just take the muffler off u got my idea? this should not hurt anything should it? b/c i am getting y-pipe form xmas and the 3in tubingin janurary!
