Default washed and waxed...i've fallen in love

I just got some tech wax and had to wash up the camaro to try it out. After buffing my car about 2 weeks ago with rubbing compound, this is the first coat of wax the car has gotten. This is my first time to use tech wax, and let me just say it is AMAZING!

This is by far the smoothest, deepest shine i've ever gotten out of waxing the car. I'll post up some pics later on...my buddies and I are about to go out and take some photos of mine and josh's camaros, as well as wyatt's supercharged m3.

Here are some pics from this afternoon. The reason I waited 2 weeks to wax is my dad just painted my door and rear quarter panel and told me to let it finish drying before I did anything to it. Plus, with finals all week, I really haven't had much extra time. Anyways, I honestly don't think the pictures do it any justice, but it's at least an attempt.

all you guys that are saying tech wax and mothers didn't hold up long, and that it was gone in a week, etc ..

what are you basing that on ? Why are you saying you think it is gone in a week, or 4 days, or whatever ?

just curious ..

pics look good, btw ... I like that color ..

Tech Wax has only held up for a couple washes (maybe a month or two b/c I barely drive the car) but it does look good. Use Meguiar's #26 for lasting protection.

I base my observations on a combination of beading, slickness, and appearance.

I figured you did ..

I find it interesting all the comments about how quick some people say the NXT is gone.. I haven't used it in almost 2 years, now .. so I am wondering if my memory is foggy, or there is something else going on (application process, etc). I had no issues with NXT in Maryland, making it through the winter on my DD's with two good coats . so just curious if the product has changed, or what ,,.

It would be nice if Meg's could make it last as long as some of the sealants, but doubt that will ever happen.

My opinions are based on the first bottle I bought when it first came out. I've probably only used it 5 times because most any carnauba wax will give equal or better durabililty. I understand that the newest version has a little better durability but still not good.

WOw, looks good. I really neet to get mine done. I have a bottle of Meguiar's Carnuba, it's just a matter of putting it on.....

It's a shame you have to have a front plate covering up that nice billet grill.
