SLP in the end has good fitment, if you get the tabs all the way in, and the front behind the lip. However it does rub on the hood.
MTI is the only one that sells clear lids now. I believe the company that sold the other one went out, or stopped making them.
In the end, a lid is a lid for what its worth.

i dont agree that a lid is a lid...
my first choice for a lid was a clear one. i forget who made it, but the fit was horrible. i'm not saying all clear lids are that way, but mine was absolute junk. it was made in 2 pieces then glued together, and at the area where the 2 glued pieces mated up to the air filter gasket there was at least an 1/8th in gap due to the 2 pieces not being lined up properly before glueing. NO way would i run my car with that thing.
i went with the slp, its cheap and fits really nice but does rub the hood a little. its not too bad, if anything it really snugs that lid down when the hood is closed.
also, the clear lid i had didnt 'flex' like the black plastic slp one does. the couple times i installed that lid it felt like it was constantly on the verge of snapping a tab off.

I have the MTI clear lid and its fine I will post up some pix on how it looks. Also I modded the back of the plastic piece that holds the bottom of the box so the bottom back of the airlid doesnt rub. I will get pix in here

Yeah the MTI lids are pretty brittle, especially if you put a silicon smooth bellows on for show.
There is NO room for wiggling if you have a silicon bellows and a MTI lid, I mean NONE. I actually took off the entire bracket after putting the lid and filter back on because it was easier to fit onto the throttlebody than just screwing with the lid.
That was of course if you didn't have the stock bellows...

I bought the MTI clear lid used. It did show rub mark on it from the hood. From what I can tell, it doesn't rub on my hood. As far as fitment, it fits pretty good to be aftermarket and being massed produced. I can't complain.
