Mine are Scats, and I had to do the same. My pan is a Canton also.

If somebody wants to build something like this and expect everything to just fit perfectly with no hand fitting, they are likley to be dissapointed. They need to know how to verify and adjust the fit of everything before assembly begins. Too many combinations for any parts mfgr to know for certain everything will go together with no massaging.

where exactly did you have to tap it in...my motor is already in the car and it wont be too easy to put it all the way up there and then test it and then take it back off etc.

The angled scraper running along the passenger side of the pan. Some of my rod bolts touched. You should mock all this stuff up before final assembly. I usually have one together for trial fitting at least once, and again to verify everything is now OK. Just put tape around the piston ring band area. No rings installed for this part. I have never failed to find something that needs tweaked. If you just bolt everything together and get away with it, you are extremely lucky.

Good luck, Ed

Nope, ring band. The machined area containing the ring lands/grooves.

I'm running Scat H-beams and the stock pan. The front of the pan needed lots of work with a ballpeen hammer. Being an ex-bodyman helped!
