Motor Mounts
Okay....doing headers, and another major setback. We can't get that little 4-pin connector outta the alternator. Our hands arent small enough to get in there. Are motor mounts REALLY necessary? My car has 91k miles. I'm just about ready to give up on the motor mounts and go straight to putting in headers. What do yall think?

i had a problem with that little bitch too. i ended up takin the alternater down as far as the 4pin's wires would let it, then i was able to take it out with a needle nose or 2 screwdrivers...i try to forget that PITA.
anyway... i did my motor mounts after the headers were in because my y pipe was banging during accel. i got poly mounts and i love em! no more y pipe bang, shift stick doesnt move nearly as much, and there is no noticable difference in vibration. along with the other benefits that i cant think of right now. deffinitly worth the time, sweat and blood!

What 4 pin connector? Oh the one I did not see and forgot about when I took my alt off to do the poly mounts. I found a new pin and made the wire a foot longer so it would be easier next time. You are doing the right thing putting the poly mounts in now with the headers, rather than later when you find your Y hits the bottom of the car.
