Default True duals under axle

I spoke to my exhaust guy today about running true duals behind my incoming Pacesetters. He said $140 to run 2.5" true duals, with me providing the mufflers. He said he can't take them over the axle though, because he couldn't guarantee them not hitting anything. So for $290 ($140 pipes/labor + $150 Flowmaster Deltas) I can have true duals under the axle. I assume they'd have better flow under axle without extra bends. Anyway, that's less than a catback system and he said there's plenty of ground clearance.

Opinions?

Definately dump them at the rear axle. It sounds really good echoing under the car.

I'd dump them at the rear, but the interior noise drives me crazy. I drive this car daily. I dumped my 79 Z with turndowns, and took it back to have pipes ran out the rear after a couple weeks. This car already has alot more road noise than my SS Monte Carlos or the Z...

Used to be dumped but way too much on a DD...I'd go for it all the way out the back. Just have him put flanges before the rear axle so you can run dumped if you want to. I have mine done that way and have the best of both worlds.
