Default Heard something about sending in stock Rockers for stronger rebuild?

I heard someone rebuilds The Stock LS1 Rocker arms, with stronger parts so the needle bearings dont fall apart.

Is this true , who does this work?
Please let me know
Thank you

Harland Sharp is the one who rebuilds them. Nasty Performance sends their rockers to Harlan as well. I believe the price is around $275. (Not sure if that is rebuilt or outright, I'm assuming it's yours rebuilt) The needle bearings spill because of faulty clips. I believe they use a diffrent style bearing and clip system upon rebuild. Makes it almost impossible for them to come apart.

Call Harland sharp, they'll give you the address and for $250 in a week or so they'll send you back a bad *** set of rockers. I got mine done by them and they're worth the investment and peace of mind.

Here's the site: http://harlandsharp.com/bolton3.htm#

and an old post with info: https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...=harland+sharp

I'm having Nate do mine, he only lives like 45min from my house and told me I can just drive there and swap my set with the set he tries to keep laying around, and then mine will get rebuilt for someone else

These are excellent rocker stands, but you don't really need them unless you are running ported stock heads. The porting tends to weaken the casting this stout rocker stand will give the rockers a little more support spread across the casting.

Not to hi-jack, but are all gen 3 rockers the same? I got a set of 5.3 rockers from work for free, and I was going to get them rebuilt.

my car has ported heads/cam and only 19k on my car,4k miles on the new setup..I am getting my rockers done first thing this spring..Its one of those things that doesnt really happen with mileage or cams or anything specific..Its just one of the things that can happen to anyone at anytime, stock engine or modded.just get them done and dont ever worrying about it happening to your ride.
