Default Car in Storage and Winter Never Arrived

Where the $#$@ is winter? I parked my car for the winter and did the usual storage routine (wash, wax, disconnect battery, fill fluids, sta-bil, reduced the insurance coverage, ect.), and it has been in the 40's and 50's ever since! Maybe the global warming caused by my daily driver getting 13 M.P.G. is to blame! I could still be driving my T/A instead of my P.O.S. winter beater:

The forecast calls for warm weather through mid-January here in PA, and it seems like the only place that has winter is the rockies and part of the mid-west. Anybody else feeling like they should still be driving their cars? I'm sure that a blizzard would probably arrive the same day that I decide to take the car out.

I put both of mine up at the end of October and I feel the same way. Oh well, less wear and tear and cheaper insurance. Lets me use that extra money for mods

Decided not to put it away this year until I have to cause I didn't want to be in the same situation. No snow or salted roads as of yet and that cold air makes power.

Pretty soon will just be peeking at it under the cover every couple of weeks.

Had some heavy snow here in Chicago in early December. Messed up the roads for a couple weeks, with about 78,963 feet of salt. But rain has washed all that away now. I thought about driving the car last sunday, but I was too lazy to move the other 3 cars in my driveway blocking the garage. So I just ate another plate of Christmas Eve dinner instead.

I had mine out saturday almost 60 degrees in NY. I will still drive it on nice days until the first load of salt hits the roads and then it's time to go bye bye until the spring rains wash the salt away. At this point I can't see it being anymore than 10 weeks in the garage.

I couldn't stand it any longer. No rain in the forcast for the next three days so I went to Grandma's (I keep it in her garage) and took the car for a drive.

Stored mine on November 11th, thinking snow would be falling soon and it'd be nice and cozy in the garage. Wrong!! 60 degrees the following weekend. It got below freezing a couple of times in December and that's it. Highs in the 40's and lows in the 37-39 degree range still right now. I haven't seen a lick of snow yet to fall here.

So I was like Fn right, safe! next few days its dry, then begins to rain, and now the roads are cleaner than times in Nov!!! the worst part is I cant put her back on the road for at least another 2-3 weeks!!! ....lol....and I was gonna buy a snowmobile

i'm in the same boat. no snow here but they salted the **** out of the roads in early Nov which forced me to put the car away. I guess they predicted a snow storm that never came but they salted anyways.

I bought a 4wd instead of a F-body and its been in the 40s-50s here. We had one day of snow and now most of it is gone. In my town they dont clean the roads to well so that would be the only down side to haveing a F-body now but I could make it work.

Oh well this will make a good daily driver when I do get one in a year or two. And hopefully by then I will be in a better finacial situation.

And winter isnt over yet. We still have about 3 months left. This weekend they are predicting a storm here. They also predicted a huge one about 2 weeks ago and we only got a few inches of snow and some ice. about 20 miles south of me they didnt get anything.

I know how you feel.

I still drive my car every other day. The beater's tires decided not to go the way I wanted to go last week and put the front 1/4 into a guard rail. Not horrible, just need a new panel and blinker assembly. Saab Classic900Turbo, arent too hard to find body panels around here. Just wish I could trust the tires a little more...
