Default what is my compression?another dur dur dur question.....

well i tried filling one of those compression calculators out and it didnt work...so here are my specs.... im thinking 8:4:1 is what its close to school me guys~

24.20cc dish.... 6 thousands in the hole
6.0 motor
GM 6.0 mls gaskits
72cc 6.0 heads

anything else you need to know let me know thanks

also i have the lunati pro mod rods what whp to the tires are you guys doing with those befor they give way...?

calc i used showed around 8.0, maybe one of my numbers is off.

4.00 bore
3.622 stroke
71 cc chamber
.050 gasket thickness
-24.2 cc dish on the piston

People don't give those pro mod i-beams enough credit. Lunati makes good ****, and those things are SUPER strong, including the rod bolts. Those are the same ones I'm using in my new motor going in my 67. Relatively light weight, and a good design.

I think they are a A-Beam like the pro billet.Ive seen 800srwhp around here on them with no probs.

8:0:1 WHATTTTTT?? how will that affect my drivability? guys can you school me up alittle? does that mean more power on pump gas?

one of the ones i use came up with around 8:0 also.

It's going to be HORRIBLE! Won't even be able to get out of it's own way. Old ladies with walkers will pass you!

Seriously, 8.0 is fine. You'll just be able to run more boost on less octane. I wish my motor was 8.0:1 vs the 8.7:1 I have now. 1.0 pts of compression is worth about 3% of power. So compared to a 10.0:1 you will be down about 6% give or take a little. Try living in Vegas, during the summer I lose at least 10% HP compared to winter, 6000+ DA vs 2800 DA in winter.
