Default Anyone with an LT1 in a 69 Camaro? any websites?

Hey guys, it seems the lsx is much more popular, however my friend has a 69 camaro and bought my friends built lt1 off him to put in the 69 and i haven't had much luck in finding any tips/pointers in putting it in the car. Anyone help?

Mike

Shouldn't be to much trouble.. mounts, exhaust and everything else should bolt right up.. just need to wire up the harness and ECM, Fuel system would need to be upgraded to handle the higher pressure of EFI.. Gas Tank needs to be upgraded (Rick's or Valley tanks with in tank pump and baffles), suggest going intake pump (Tanks Inc. ?)

hint: your title says LT1, which should be a no brainer.

Go to www.hotrodlane.cc theres a entire write up on it under projects/installs.
They did an LT1 into a 68.

its much more simple given the dimensions on the block are the same. no adapter plates for the mounts, or special headers. Just do the fuel and wiring, and you're fine.

Mike:

Try this site: http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/S...5/camaro1.html

I used it as a rough guide when converting my '68 to LT1 a few years ago. Used a few Street & Performance parts too. Basically it drops in without any mods. Just add the injection wiring and an electric fuel pump.

Good luck.

Street and performance did the Real Street Camaro back in the 90's, if you go to their website they have all the info you need. (www.hotrodlane.cc)

I agree, that's a pretty good site....... ;-) The info is a little old however... I did that swap back in 1996/97
