I have a very pronounced ticking that i only hear during acceleration. It doesnt go away and gets more audible when i give it gas. I think its a bent pushrod, but what else could it be? What other things make this sound (variable depending on acceleration), lifters maybe? Im hoping its not a whole score of things (i did a search and everything leads to a bent pushrod, but i just want to see what else it could be before i order my parts)

interesting thought about the exhaust leak.. very interesting. Oil pressure is perfect i suppose, usually somewhere between 40-60 on the guage (higher when i start the car, then it levels off to the middle). How can i tell if a lifter is messed up?

i'd check for an exhaust leak first. if you have aftermarket heads and a cam, it might just be your noisy valvetrain. a lot of guys with aftermarket heads and a cam including myself have noisy valvetrains. maybe your valvesprings are getting worn? if the car is running fine and you cant find an exhaust leak i wouldnt really worry about it.

See, i wouldnt worry about it either except the car is stock and it only recently started... at the same time i did have my local GM dealership replace the cat under warranty and the noise started immediatly after i got it back from them... i never put 2 and 2 together.

Pushrods are very easy to replace. Take coil packs off, valve covers and rocker arm off. Remeber to torwue down to 22 lb ft of torque(I think thats the measurement, not quite sure)
Anyways, the ticking might be valve train noise(common), EXHAUST LEAK(Most likely). I had 3 bent pushrods when doing my cam swap(usually caused by bouncing the rev limiter, with weak factory pushrods) And i had no symptoms except some knock retard here and there.
Make sure you dont have an exhaust leak first(save some money in the long run)

I dont not suggest for any amateur to attempt to replace lifters without knowing anything about it. You have to take the cylinder heads off in these motors to get to the lifters. You can TRY to attempt it by removing the plastic tray for the lifters and "fishing" them out but I think it would be dangerous for a lifter to fall through.
