Autometer Wideband
I have been looking at this unit and was wondering if anyone as any experience with it. I know it is fairly new, but from what info I can gather, there isn't an extra box that has to be installed in the car anywhere. The wires from the o2 go straight to the gauge. According to Autometers web page, it has and output so you can use it with a data logger.

Ok.. Its installed.
I bought the cobalt series to go with all my other gauges. I had the aem before this one and I really liked it but it didnt match.
First it looks awesome..
It is very very close to the aem acutally. It used the same o2 sensor with the calibrator on the end of it. That runs to the gauges with no other boxes or anything.
It does have a data logger wire.
Things Imporved over the aem
-Adjustable settings
-WOT peak a/f ratio
-Adjustable a/f ranges from 10-20 afr ie.. you can set it to only real 11-13 to show more accurate range of wot...
-One really nice thing it has Is a WARNING.. It will actually let you know if your going lean by flashing.
-Several other adjustable settings. All done by 2 buttons on the gauge face. ie.. easy.
-The wiring harness Plugs in to the back of the unit instead of being permanetly attached.
Cons
-Only comes with 8ft of cabling.. For us sts guys this is very difficult to make work. I cut a place in the tranny tunnel and put the gauge in my ac vent. If I had wanted to put it in the pillar it wouldnt not have fit. If you dont have the sts you dont have to worry about it. Ill post pics later.
