Does the SDM have to be replaced???

Default Does the SDM have to be replaced???
I have search the forum and I can't really find a consistent answer. Does anyone know for sure if it necessary to replace the sdm after airbag deployment??

If it is, can one be used from a salvage yard out of a car that has not had the airbags blown, or does it have to be new?

No it doenst have to be replaced after airbag deployment, only if it is phisically damaged.

It is recommended by gm that when the air bags deploy that you replace the SDM.
