Default Any permanent damage?

Car was shaking and felt like it was on 7 cyl so I took off the valve covers and a bolt that holds the rocker arm down was halfway out. I took out the rocker and saw no damage to it. Torqued it back up and car seems to be running fine. However I notice some white smoke coming out of the tail pipes, this may go away but I was wondering if there is a chance any permanent damage could have been done. Thanks for any advice..

If it got loose enough to spitout the pushrod or clatter around then yes.

Sounds like you got lucky!

The white smoke was probably just all the unburned fuel in that particular cylinder coming out. Also it may just you being a big paranoid(understandably so).
