Default Custom bore size Cometic head gaskets

Looking for opinions here...

The standard Bore opening size for Cometic MLS LS1/LS6 head gaskets is 3.910". The physical cylinder bore size by specification is 3.898". What is considered the safest minimum gasket opening size for the cylinder bore? I think I have heard of 3.903's. Can it even go tighter?

And yes, i realize chasing the tightest gasket opening to bore size is probably a waste of time, none the less, let's entertain this idea.

you must be really trying to squeeze all the compression out of this thing. i would use 3.910 and call it a day, .007 won't change enough to even notice. cometic will cut you anything you want.

Just trying to maximize quench without going under .040" gasket thickness.
