Nitto 315 Dr's: Weather opinions
I've got some sweet Nitto 315 Dr's on the back of my WS6. Only trouble is, they are almost down to the indicator nubs. What would the weather cutoff be for you guys not to roll around with them?

well I still have my 275 40 17 nittos on(chicago) and they are about done. I bring my car out when its not snowing though. I honestly would never drive them in the snow no drag radial! but if this is your daily driver just drive caustiously. when the center wears out all hell breaks lose. but if you have the money just purchase a set of winter tires. btw: just returned my 275-40-17 MT drag radials for a set of 315 nitto drag radials....heard good things about them.

I wouldn't worry about the cold weather as long as your not getting on it. If they're bald, they will be dangerous in rain. I wore my last set down until the cords were showing, but I never drove on them like that when it was raining, because you can go sideways. With good tread on them, I've never had any problems with them in the rain.

I drove around on my bald (4/4, lol!) Nitto DR 315s in the 20s and had no issues, unlike my Goodyear M + Ss that are on there now (yuk). I had some 275-45/17s on an 01 Stang GT a few years back that were bald though and a little bump steer and a nasty rain storm cured me of that operation quick (totalled the car). So i would say that bald is not an issue as long as it's dry...
