Headers rusting/peeling..
Hey guys-
I've got a set of hooker long tubes on my car, that have been on there for a few years.. They were ceramic coated when I picked them up..
I was underneath the car today changing the oil and noticed that my headers are starting to rust and peeling..
Anyway, is there anything I can do to them to slow this process? They only appear to be rusting/peeling in certain places..
I really won't want to have to replace these jokers anytime soon..
Thanks
Jeff

put them in a container of water with baking soda. hook up the negative post of a battery charger to the headers and the positive side of the charger to a metal rod that just goes into the water. leave it on for about 48 hours, all the rust should be gone. then get them painted or coated so it doesnt happen again.

I think headers go to hell on a hand cart no matter how much money
you spend. I saw a set of kooks for sale on ebay that were completely
blue and yellow with not a hint of shine and I believe these are supposed to
be the best on the market , so all you can say for them is no rust.
