Default Rebuilding my T-56, Replacing a few things. Need advice.

Well, time has come where I need a rebuild. While I'm in there I'm going to be changing a few things. There is black gunk in my clutch fluid, and it gets black no matter how many times I change it. No fluid is leaking out though.

Should I get:
1. New Master (McLeoud)
2. New Slave (replaced 20k ago)
3. New Pilot/TO bearing
4. Some heatshielded clutch line

What I want:
1. LS7 Clutch+PP(Can I use the stock Flywheel with this??)
2. ARP Bolts
3. Rebuild from t56rebuilds.com

Is there anything I'm missing? What else would LS1tech suggest??

For the black clutch fluid, you might want to try insulating the line running from the master to the slave first. Definetely want to swap out the pilot and throwout bearings while you're in there since they're not expensive.

For the LS7 clutch, you will have to get an LS2 flywheel, so your stock one will not work with it. For the tranny rebuild, be sure to get the 3/4 steel shift fork and see if they offer the bronze/brass shift fork pads.

All rebuilds come with the Bronze 1-4 pads and steel fork.

Thanks,

Should I get a new master, or do you think the 02 master is fine? And which bearing comes with a new slave, isnt that the TO bearing?

If there are more than 30,000 miles always replace the slave. Get the new 02 for sure but go by mileage. It comes with the throwout bearing.

Thanks,
Amber
