just got done the tranny swap to the MN12, holy hell its nice.

before in 6th gear @ 2k i was at 78mph. now w/ the GTO tranny im at 68mph.

im rowing through the gears alot faster and more often now. i cant wait to see what it does at the track

here the specs of the 2 trannys

fbody z06/gto
1st - 2.66 2.97
2nd - 1.78 2.07
3rd - 1.30 1.43
4th - 1.00 1.00
5th - 0.74 0.84
6th - 0.50 0.56

and thats through the 4.10s lol im guessing it would b equivalent to about 4.30ish rear gear.

yeah its a lil stronger, i got it from a guy that upgraded to a viper spec, he sold it for $1250 out of his 05 gto

is it just a direct swap or did you have to change **** around?

I thought in 6th you were at 78mph at 2000RPM with 3.42 gears, not 4.10's.

almost a direct swap, had to switch the shifter socket cup thing that the shifter goes into and all the sensors over to the gto tranny went in perfect.

originaly w/ the 10 bolt and 3.42s in 6th at 2k it was 90mph
12 bolt w/ 4.10s in 6th at 2k went down to 78mph
12bolt and gto tranny in 6th gear at 2k its 69mph
